Siak,-- The Public Works, Spatial Planning, Public Housing, and Residential Areas (PUPR) Department of Siak Regency continues to accelerate road infrastructure improvements to improve public comfort and safety.

PUPR is carrying out repairs at several strategic locations, including the Siak-Buatan Crossroad, the Siak-Tumang Crossroad, and the Siak-Bungaraya Crossroad, which serve as the main arteries for the local community in transporting produce to the city.

The Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Public Housing, and Residential Areas (PUPR) Department of Siak Regency, Ardi Irfandi, stated that his department will focus on maintenance patching, widening, and asphalting in early 2026.

"Thank God, in January 2026 we will focus on road maintenance, including the Buatan-Pemda Office intersection," Ardi said on Thursday (February 5, 2026).

Ardi continued, adding that road repairs will continue on the Siak-Bungraya-Sabak Auh road section. The rigid (concrete) method is being used because some parts of the road have been paved, considering that the road has suffered quite severe damage.

"The Siak-Bungaraya-Sabak Auh road section is severely damaged in several places. We are pouring concrete and repaving some parts. We aim to complete the road work before Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri," he said.

Meanwhile, the Siak-Tumang road section remains a focus for maintenance. "We hope that this Eid al-Fitr, the road will be in good condition so that the homecoming traffic will run smoothly and people will be safe and comfortable driving," he said.

He urged the public to support road infrastructure development by monitoring it so that the existing roads can last longer.

"Let's support regional development. May it benefit all residents of Siak Regency," he concluded.
