On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:30 PM WIB, in the Raja Indra Pahlawan Meeting Room of the Siak Regent's Office, a Human Rights Capacity Building and Counseling activity was held to increase legal awareness for civil servants within the Regional Secretariat of the Ministry of Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, West Sumatra Regional Office, Riau Working Area. This activity was sponsored by the Siak Legal Section in collaboration with the Siak Police in 2026. The invitees attending the event were as follows: - The Siak Regent was represented by Assistant I of Siak Regency, Dr. H. Fauzi Hazni, M.Si. - The Siak Police Chief was represented by the Deputy Chief of Police, Commissioner Akira Ceria, SIK., M.M. - The Head of the West Sumatra Regional Office for Human Rights, Riau, was represented by the Coordinator for the Riau Region, Mr. Max Mahdy S.Sos. - Head of the Legal Division of the Siak Regional Secretariat, Eddy Sugandi Tahir, SH., MH. - Heads of Divisions of the Siak Regional Secretariat - Civil Servants within the Siak Regional Secretariat This activity is a strategic and constructive step in strengthening legal understanding, particularly for civil servants (ASN), as government officials who play a vital role in providing services to the public. Legal awareness is not merely knowledge of laws and regulations, but also encompasses attitudes, behavior, and a commitment to carrying out duties in accordance with applicable legal and ethical norms. Civil servants, as the frontline of public service, must be exemplary in their adherence to the law, as the integrity of state officials significantly determines the level of public trust in the government. Through this outreach activity, it is hoped that all participants will be able to: Improve their understanding of legal provisions relating to the duties and functions of civil servants.
